BOOM Liquette Pellets deliver simple, action-packed fun using soft expanding gel technology. Also commonly known as gel balls or orbies, Liquettes are designed to absorb water and rapidly expand into soft gel pellets that can be launched safely using compatible BOOM Liquett pouches and launchers.
Made from sodium polyacrylate, Liquettes begin as tiny dehydrated crystals smaller than a match head. Once placed in water they absorb up to 50 times their original volume, transforming into smooth gel pellets measuring approximately 11–13mm in diameter.
The hydrated pellets are firm enough to hold their shape during launching while still remaining soft and lightweight. On impact with hard surfaces they break apart into tiny fragments, making cleanup simple while also reducing waste compared to many traditional projectiles.
Liquettes are manufactured from materials commonly used across agriculture, industry and everyday products, including disposable nappies, making them a fun and environmentally conscious recreational option.
Hydration is quick and easy. Simply empty one sachet into approximately 250ml of water and allow the pellets to absorb. Full hydration generally takes around 4 hours in warm water or approximately 8 hours in cold water. Once hydrated, the Liquettes should be stored in a sealed container to prevent them from drying out and shrinking.
